Important resources for new Avon Representatives!

New Avon rep resources that every Avon seller needs to know about. Getting started with your own Avon business can get very overwhelming. You have a lot of information thrown at you at the beginning.

It can be ‘information overload’ for many Avon newbies.

So here are some important resources you should know about. Receiving valuable tips and ideas from seasoned Avon representatives is one of the reasons that makes this business so successful.

Placing Your First Avon Order

When you get a customer order you should always use the pink Avon Order Book (see image below). It’s FREE and you should have received your first one with your Starter Kit.

It’s a good way to keep track of your customers orders until you enter them into the online system. It will also provide your customers with a written receipt. You may choose to print an invoice via the Avon platform after the order ships.

I keep several Avon Order Books around me at all times! I have one on my desk, I keep one in my purse and I have another order book in the car.

You never know when you will get an order, in person or over the phone, and these little books come in really handy. I also keep a copy of the receipts in my file cabinet for future reference.

How to fill out your Avon order receipt:

Write down your customers name and contact information and the current date and campaign number. Next fill in the order information, including page numbers, product numbers, description, quantity and price.

How To Fill Out An Avon Receipt

Your Customer’s Receipt – On the bottom of the page you want to print your name and contact information. The back of the receipt describes Avon’s return policy and notice of cancellation. If your order is for more than $25 write down the date of transaction.

Be sure to charge the non-refundable service fee of $1.00 (or more) and your local sales tax.

The product price(s) + service fee + tax is the ‘Amount Due’ from your customer. 

You should have the ‘Amount Due’ for all of your customers in hand when you place your order at
For instance, for the New Representative Daily Care Collection it will look like this:Skin So Soft Daily Care Bundle for new Avon Reps
Daily care bundle – $19.99
Service fee – $1.00
Total – $20.99
Tax – $1.51
Amount due – $22.50
Make sure you have received the $22.50 from your customer before placing the order in your online account. Avon does not provide credit to new Reps any longer!

Customer Invoices

Once your products arrive from Avon you can print a system generated invoice for your customers via the platform. Once you’re logged in with your account # and password, click on ‘Web Office’ on the top of the page.
Click on the pink button labeled ‘Customer Invoicing‘ and indicate if your order had any items missing. You are now ready to print an invoice for each of your customers.
Your invoices will include your contact information, campaign/order/invoice numbers, items orders, your service charge, tax and a personal message if you choose to include one.
Make money online with Avon
Personally, I prefer to create my own invoices and keep a Google spreadsheet of my customers including order dates and last brochure drop dates. This way I will have all of my customers information in case the Avon system ever goes down.

Product Presentation

The way you hand over your customers products can make or break a repeat sale. Avon offers multiple bags at a fairly low cost to you.

Bonus Tip: On the bottom of the Popcorn Bags is the Avon website address stamped in pink – Use a pen or marker and write your store extension next to it, for example ->

Presentation is very important when it comes to selling Avon successfully! 
As a new Avon Rep you should always dress in appropriate business attire. Likewise, your products should be handed to your customers in appropriate bags. Never use plastic shopping bags, like the one you get from Walmart, it’s not just tacky it is also bad for the environment.
Instead, choose the right size bag, the one that best suits the products you’re delivering, from the image above. Include the product number(s) in your next order.

For an extra touch, I like to line my Avon bags with colored tissue paper.

I also include a hand-written Thank you card and a perfume sample in every order. For larger orders I will also include an additional sample or even a full-sized product to show my customer appreciation.

Campaign Brochures

Order as many brochures as you can possibly afford, every campaign! Your Avon brochure is your store front and your business card in one. The more brochures you order, the better your changes of getting new customers. The magic number for new reps is around 100 brochures per campaign.

That sound like a lot, right? What the heck are you supposed to do with 100 brochures? Take a look at this image to learn how to get your brochures in the right hands. It’s a lot easier than you might think to hand out lots of brochures.

Take it from someone who’s sold Avon for a while now! I don’t toss my Avon brochures into random driveways, instead, I talk to people and leave them in reception areas where people will actually look at them.

Make any changes to fit your needs, to add more lines on the bottom of the sheet, right-click, hover on ‘insert’ and click on ‘insert rows below’.
