Learn how to use a makeup blender sponge!
A makeup blender sponge is very handy to have, and inexpensive, to apply foundation seamlessly and with very little effort. The egg shaped makeup sponge by Avon is perfect for applying foundation, concealer, and other beauty products.
Our makeup applicator features a soft, suede-like texture which blends makeup seamlessly for a flawless finish. The unique shape helps to eliminate visible lines and streaks.
As you can see in the picture below, I have been using my makeup blender sponge for a while now. The creases in the sponge are from storing it in a drawer full of makeup. Oops!

HOW TO USE A MAKEUP BLENDER
- Prior to application, dampen your makeup applicator with water and remove the excess. This prevents foundation from being absorbed into the sponge.
- Dip the moist sponge into your favorite Avon liquid foundation or rub into a compact.
- Gently tap your makeup blender sponge on your face in a stippling motion using either the pointed or wide, rounded end.
Avon’s makeup applicator will work with powders, liquids, creams and even gels. Because you wet the sponge prior to use, it will give your skin added hydration. The narrow tip of the blender is perfect for applying powder under the eyes to set your makeup.

Tips To Maintain Your Makeup Blender Sponge
When you’re done applying your makeup with the blender sponge, rinse it well (use a drop of liquid soap or makeup cleaner) and squeeze all the excess water out of it. You can simply leave it sit out on the sink and let it air dry until you need it again.
Purchasing a cute looking Drying Holder for your blender sponge helps your makeup applicator dry completely. It also saves you from having to squeeze the egg tightly in your hand every day.
Replace your beauty blender sponge about every 3 months. Just like with your makeup brushes, bacteria and makeup build-up will occur even with regular cleaning.
Don’t waste your money on expensive beauty blender sponges.
They can range from $5 to a whooping $20, like the beautyblender from ‘The Body Beauty Blender’. You will only pay for the name brand, the applicator is made from the same Non-Latex PU as Avon’s, which only costs you $2.99 (on sale).
A small investment in this beauty tool will give your makeup a flawless finish!
